Local Area

Within a half-hour's drive there are many places of interest. The nearest town of Knighton has the Offa's Dyke Visitor's Centre. In the charming market town of Presteigne (to the south) is 'The Judge's Lodgings' - an award winning museum and circuit courthouse.

In Bishop's Castle (to the north) there are two brewery pubs - The Three Tuns will show visitors around 'the oldest brewery in the England' by arrangement.

Ludlow (to the east) is of course famous for its castle, medieval townscapes and market, and is now a magnet for 'foodies'.

Stokesay Castle in Craven Arms is a perfectly preserved 'fortified manor house' - a great place for the whole family, and the nearby 'Land of Lost Content' museum and Shropshire Hills Visitor Centre are also good stand-bys on a rainy day.
